Cinderella is a quintessential British pantomime by David Swan & directed by Tremayne Thompson. This version of Cinderella is targeted at mostly adults & is set in the 1960s. We are asking all those who are interested in either participating on or off stage to please register using the form below. Show season will be Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights with 1 or 2 Sunday matinees. The show will be held from 17th October – 2/3rd November 2024 at Waiuku War Memorial Hall with cabaret style seating (table seating) & dinner shows. Rehearsals will begin in June, with a schedule to be confirmed & rehearsal frequency and length will ramp up gradually, but general rule of thumb for when we are in full swing is Tuesday, Thursday (7pm-9pm) and Sunday (2pm-6pm). Any further queries, please contact the production team at cinderella@waiukutheatre.com
Cast Information: There are 17 speaking roles (lead, supporting & minor). All lead & supporting roles have at least 1 musical number, this will be performed live. You do not need to be an X-Factor singer, so long as you show effort, character & confidence (example, if the Ugly Sisters sung perfectly, it would be weird…). The main musical numbers for each character are listed with their character descriptions below & you will be emailed a backing track link so you can learn the song before your audition. You will be asked to sing some of the song, in character, during your audition.
